Meetings are hosted in the Hagley Soda House, which was originally home to processing and storing sodium nitrate (used to manufacture blasting powder). Constructed in 1888, the stone structure is nestled on a quiet hillside overlooking the Brandywine River and offers three rooms for meetings.


Toscana Catering at Hagley is the exclusive caterer and is operated by Chef Dan Butler. With a reputation for using

fresh, high-quality ingredients and producing excellent food, Toscana Catering offers packages but can customize a menu to suit any budget and vision, as well.


While history surrounds the property, there is no shortage of state-of-the-art capabilities to complement meetings.


The Hagley Soda House offers audio capability throughout the building. In the auditorium, its largest room, a digital pro- jector with standard 15-pin VGA connector and hard-wired Internet access is available. Gallery I has wireless access, and Gallery II boasts hard-wired and wireless Internet.


For a break in the day or an addition to the business at hand, attendees can tour the beautiful French garden. Or groups may opt to finish a seminar “with a bang” by including a gun- powder demonstration near the river for an additional fee.
