Professionals International (MPI) chapters from Greater New York and New Jersey came together with the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Greater New York Chapter to savor the past
and embrace the future at one of America’s most historic landmarks, Ellis Island. The evening was created by This is Our City; New York for New Yorkers the world over.
This is Our City is the three-year-old brainchild of Frank Stapleton, president of the Monarch Group and a Past President of both MPI and HSMA. Stapleton, together with Richard Yaeger, chair of the HSMAI Special Events Committee, Patti Golden of Evelyn Hill, Inc., and helping hands from the MPINJ committee and several organiza- tions and representatives, guided the event.
This is Our City, which sells out every year, boasted a fabulous cache of cultural, culinary and scenic vistas. Guests could not keep up with all the opportunity to explore the history and exhibits on display at this landmark building.
