Plans are underway for a $13.2 million expansion of the James A. Michener Art Museum, which is set to debut in the win- ter of 2011. The Edgar Putman Event
Center will be a 2,700 square-foot space for concerts, lectures and exhibition openings, as well as corporate and social events. In addition, the patio area of the museum’s Patricia D. Pfundt Sculpture Garden will be covered with glass, creat- ing a premier indoor event space.
Plans also include the renovation of the Ann and Herman Silverman Pavilion into an education complex with two class- rooms, a larger museum shop and café,
