Longwood Gardens, a horticultural gem featuring exquisite flowers, majestic trees, dazzling fountains and opulent architec- ture, adds another extraordinary space with the opening this fall of its East Conservatory Plaza.
The Plaza, designed by landscape archi- tect Kim Wilkie, features the first terraced lawn in the United States and the largest indoor green wall in North America. This dynamic new gathering space and venue for special events, horticultural demon- strations and educational talks continues Longwood founder Pierre S. du Pont’s legacy of creating unique spaces integrat- ed into the natural landscape.
