Global Specialties Intros Two Signal Generators

Yorba Linda, CA —Global Specialties, a provider of electronics training solu- tions for education and industry, has introduced two new arbitrary/func- tion signal generators — SFG-205 (5 MHz bandwidth) and SFG-210 (10 MHz bandwidth). The two units are capable of generating either 5 or 10 MHz sine waves. The signal generators con-

tain easy-to-read color displays, user-friendly controls and numer- ic keypads that allow easy config- uration of waveforms. They also include non-volatile memory to create, store, and recall arbitrary waveforms of up to 16,000 points with 14 bit vertical resolution. Available for output are 46 prede- fined arbitrary waveforms. A USB interface on the rear panel allows users to easily interface with applica- tion software to create and load waveforms. In addition, the generators have a sample rate of 125 MSa/s, 3.5 in.

(88.9 mm) TFT-LCD color display, five standard output waveforms, and can store and recall up to 10 instru- ment settings. Various modulations include AM, DSB-AM, FM, PM, FSK, ASK, PWM, sweep, and burst.

Middletown, PA — Phoenix Contact has introduced M12 power distribu- tion boxes designed for field-based power supply voltages of 24V. The distribution boxes, in combination with standard M12 power cables of 4 x 10 AWG conductors, can eliminate the voltage drop that occurs across long cable runs. The distributor has four T-

coded M12 receptacles with a current load of up to 10A per channel. Each of the eight channels is equipped with a plug-in fuse. Devices are con- nected directly by T-coded M12 power cables. Power to the distribu- tor box is supplied by a Heavycon Compact plug connector. LEDs make it easy to check the

status of the input and output sides. An M12 diagnostics port, which can be connected to the controller in the control cabinet, provides further

evaluation data. T-coded accessories, such as factory-molded cables, field- attachable connectors, and Y-distrib- utors, ensure reliable power distribu- tion in the field.

Schurter Expands Fuse Series Current Ratings

Santa Rosa, CA — Schurter, a manu- facturer of circuit protection, connec- tors, switches, and EMC products, has expanded its UMT-H series of fuses by adding new current ratings of 20, 25 and 30A. The addition of the higher cur-

rent ratings now provides a wide range of currents in its compact SMD form factor, totaling 24 rated cur- rents between 160 mA and 30A at varying voltages up to 277 VAC and 250 VDC. The compact fuse has a high

breaking capacity of 1,500A. It is UL approved up to 6.3A and 277 VAC and up to 30A at 250 VAC, with rated breaking capacity from 1,500 to 100A depending on rated voltage. The fuses also have VDE approval up to 16A at 250 VAC. Square in shape, the UMT-H is

well-suited for more cost-effective, automated assembly. Applications include power supplies. In addition,
