Microprecision Adds M12 Connector for Switch Series
Vouvry, Switzerland — Micropreci- sion Electronics SA is extending the possibilities of its MP700 series of sealed limit switches in order to facil-
systems. The switches are now avail- able with an M12 connector integrat- ed directly into the housing, thus making for easy and flexible interfac- ing with a bus interconnect box. This feature allows for a simple and de- tachable cable connection as an alter- native to the common potted cable solution. Standard M12 connection cables are broadly available. This option is implemented for
30 and 35 mm (1.18 and 1.38 in.) housing sizes which reflects the 20 mm (0.79 in.) “EN” and 25 mm (0.98 in.) “US” mounting style. Metal hous- ing for rugged outdoor applications
as well as plastic housing for indoor use are both offered. A five-pin version is used in the
MP740/60 metallic cases and a four- pin for the MP730/750 plastic cases. All cases are IP67-sealed. The electri- cal rating is adapted to the power specification of M12 connectors for 4A up to 120 VAC and 3A for 240 VAC. The MP700 limit switches come
with a wide selection of actuator types consisting of pin and roller plungers, roller levers and many oth- ers. The electrical switching module is a positive opening circuit with ei- ther slow-action or snap-action
movements for a broad range of in- dustrial applications. The products meet EN 60947-5-1 standards and are also UL-approved. In addition to its market in
Swit zerland, the company also manu- factures its industrial micro switches and LED indicator lights in the U.S. under the name Wilbrecht LEDCO, Inc.
