OKW Launches Lower-Cost DATEC-COMPACT Enclosures

Bridgeville, PA —OKW has launched an unsealed (IP 41) version of its

robust DATEC-COMPACT handheld enclosures for indoor applications. The new seal replaces the product’s usual IP 65 version, and allows OEM designers to house electronics more cost-effectively. The enclosures also offer inte-

grated contacts as an option, which provides an all-in-one solution for charging and data transfer. All units — enclosures, desk sta-

tions and wall holders — can be spec- ified with built-in contacts for charg- ing 3 x 1.5V AAA or AA cells. Specifying the IP 65 version with a battery compartment enables SD cards and USB connectors to be housed within the sealed area.

The Technibrite bright acid tin process produces bright finishes.

been developed to improve the ap - pearance and performance of bright acid tin plated parts, especially parts with complex geometries that often will show dull deposits in low cur- rent density areas. The Technibrite HT 1000 pro -

cess has an exceptional low current density bright range, even when the plating bath temperature and tin concentration parameters are higher than normal. The process can run without a chiller, and will produce a bright deposit at low current densi- ties at process temperatures as high as 35°C (95°F), and with tin concen- trations as high as 40 g/l. Cathode efficiencies of up to 90 percent are achievable with the process, com- pared to traditional bright acid tin process efficiencies of only 60 to 70 percent. Cycle times can be signifi- cantly reduced with the new HT 1000 tin process, increasing the pro- ductivity of the plating line. The Technibrite HT 1000 process is NPE-

free and RoHS-compliant. Contact: Technic, Inc., 47
