Munich, Germany — On its 40th anniversary, productronica show- cased many innovative technologies including augmented reality and robotics in electronics manufactur- ing. This was the first time for the productronica innovation award, and it was given to winners in five cate- gories. Roughly 38,000 visitors from 80 countries took part in the trade fair.
Falk Senger, Managing Direc -
tor at Messe Munchen drew a posi- tive conclusion of the show, and Rainer Kurtz, Chairman of produc- tronica’s Technical Advisory Board, VDMA Electronics, Micro and Nano Technologies Association, and CEO
of kurtz ersa, sees positive signs for the industry, “There are many oppor- tunities to drive our business for- ward. Industry 4.0 is a new market with a great deal of growth potential. In automotive electronics, all the driver assistance systems are giving electronics production a considerable boost.” According to studies, growth
