Hammond Releases Stainless Steel Wall-Mount Enclosures
Cheektowaga, NY — Stainless steel is the pre- ferred enclosure material for use in the chemical, food and beverage, water treatment and allied in- dustries. It offers good corrosion and chemical re- sistance, a durable finish that does not need paint- ing, and high impact resistance. The latest addition to the Hammond Manu-
facturing line of wall-mount enclosures is the at- tractively priced Waterfall series — wall-mounted enclosures specifically designed for installation in applications where wash-down capability is the key requirement. It is approved to NSF/ANSI 169 — Special Purpose Food Equipment and Devices, and is UL and CSA certified to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (IEC60529 IP66). The enclosures are initially available in 18
sizes, ranging from 16 x 16 x 8 in. (40.6 x 40.6 x 20.3 cm) to 60 x 36 x 16 in. (152 x 91.4 x 40.6 cm), in both 304 and 316 material. For easy cleaning, the units have a smooth #4 finish, with the top and the door top sloping at 25° to promote water run-off. The sloping top also discourages clutter from being placed on the top of the unit, an impor- tant consideration in facilities imple- menting 5S working practices to pro- mote order and cleanliness in the workplace. A V-shaped lip channels water around the door opening and creates a large gap between the door and the body for easy access when cleaning. Crevice-free quarter-turn door latches and an easy-to-clean lift- off hinge design also contribute to eas- ier cleaning. Differing lengths of stainless
steel wall-mount standoffs are avail- able as standard accessories, as are
Fujipoly Introduces LCD to PCB Connector

It is also an excellent choice as a board-to-board connector where space is limited. This connector delivers a current-carrying capacity up to 300mA per square 0.04 in. and exhibits a con- tact resistance of less than 500mW.
fixed and variable length floor stand kits. Painted or galvanized inner mounting panels are specified separately and a wide choice of product-specific ac- cessories such as gland plates, windows and cli- mate controlled equipment is available. The com- pany’s low-run modification and configuration service enables the Waterfall family to be factory modified to individual customer specification. BRINGING YOUR ELECTRONIC PRODUCT TO LIFE
Fujipoly’s Silver Zebra connector.
This versatile interconnect de-
vice creates redundant electrical con- tact through a special product design that incorporates 240 alternating layers of silver-filled conductive elas- tomer and non-conductive silicone material per inch of connector. This precise construction provides a cen- terline pitch between layers of 0.004 in. (0.10 mm) and allows for 0.015 in.
(0.381 mm) pad spacing on the PCB. Contact: Fujipoly America Cor-
