The Pilot4DV8 and Rapid 280 are both full, double-side testers, and they represent the company’s best in flying probe technology for assembled boards and PCBs. The systems are available in fully automated con- figurations, using their new loader and unloader magazine modules. The Pilot4DV8 has 12 mobile test resources
distributed on the two sides of the board under test, and its vertical architecture means that all resources are available at all times for testing. A series of high level performances allows this sys- tem to maximize test speed, repeatability, test and positioning precision and fault coverage, even on the most high-density boards. The Rapid 280 has eight completely inde-
pendent test probes distributed on both sides of the PCB under test. Schaffhausen, Switzerland, — TE Connectivity has introduced its Ray- chem S1260 Hot-Melt tape adhesive for high-temperature wire and cable repairs. The S1260 tape uses an envi- ronmentally resistant modified fluo- ropolymer for sealing high-tempera- ture heat-shrink components to back- shells, and is well-suited for power ca- bles with fluoropolymer and fluoro- elastomer insulations and jackets.

TE’s durable Raychem S1260 adhesive.
According to the company, the
new adhesive is an easy product to use for substrates with a high tem- perature, and for use in harsh envi- ronments. The fluid-resistant tape adheres
to polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in- sulation and may be used to repair high-temperature power cables. The tape cures with a heat gun, and is es- pecially well-suited for ground de- fense and aerospace applications. In addition, the tape measures only 0.75 in. (19 mm) wide, making it con- venient for wrapping, while minimiz-
