Welcome to the Cherry Jazz Festival The Cherry Jazz is a one day event which starts in the late afternoon and carries on until the early hours of the next morning and is always held at Ficksburg Show Grounds in November.
The Cherry Jazz Festival is part of the well-known Cherry Festival which is South Africa’s oldest crop festival. It started way back in 1967.
It is one of the largest annual events in the Eastern Free State and Ficksburg has become a household name in South Africa.
Since its inception exceptional benefits have been realised by both the local community and the community outside Setsoto Municipality.

You work for an advertising agency. Te owner of the oldest hotel in Ficksburg, Te Ficksburg Manor Hotel, would like to advertise a special accommodation package for the Cherry Festival which takes place from 21- as well as entrance to the Cherry Jazz Festival. Design this magazine advertisement in 80-100 words. Remember the AIDA principle.
ACTIVITY 15
Flyer Bold Moves 198 is a company owned by two black women, Seipati Justina Lebusa and Seithati Joyce Monyaki. Tey are currently running the Imperani Tourism and Training Centre in Ficksburg which offers accommodation, conference and workshop facilities, and tourist information. Tey are involved in a number of tourism initiatives in the area and also play an important role in the local municipality’s tourism sector plan. Tey saw a niche market in the Cherry Festival event which is celebrated annually. Bold Moves 198 now hosts the Cherry Jazz Festival in Ficksburg.
