High School State Honors Mixed Choir Staff
Sharon Hansen, director of choral activities at UW-Milwaukee, is the conductor of the 2013 WSMA High School State Honors Mixed Choir. Teresa Schroepfer of Ashwaubenon High School is the mixed choir coordinator and soprano section coach. Other section coaches include Victoria Donahue of Osceola High School (alto), David Murphy of Lancaster High School (tenor), Herb Berendsen of Oshkosh West High School (bass), and Kira Morrissey of Waupaca High School is the mixed choir accompanist.

High School State Honors Jazz Ensemble Staff
Steve Wiest, coordinator of lab bands at University of North Texas in Denton is the conductor of the 2013 WSMA High School State Honors Jazz Ensemble. Chris Behrens of Memo- rial High School in Beloit is the jazz ensemble coordinator and rhythm section coach. Other section coaches include William Nelson of Ripon Middle School (saxophone), Kory Dahlen of Westby Middle School (trumpet) and Glen Lunde of Horning Middle School in Waukesha (rhythm).

Attend the October WSMA Honors Concerts!
Plan now to attend all four WSMA State Honors Music Project concerts that are held in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Music Conference. The performances are certain to inspire and rejuvenate music teachers. The spirit, musicianship and perfor- mance quality of these concerts is a reminder of the many reasons we go into this profession. General music teachers as well as choir, orchestra and band directors have the opportunity to hear the best musicians that the state has to offer.
Remember, Online registration begins November 1 for the 2014 WSMA High School State Honors Project. Applications are due no later than Friday, December 6, 2013. Encourage students to apply and audition for this incredible experience.
