Festival Marching Band Class

The Festival Marching Band Class is held in conjunction with the WSMA State Marching Band Championships. The Festival Class is designed to allow marching bands an opportunity to perform in a non-competitive atmosphere and still get feedback from qualified marching adjudicators. The format is much like a traditional concert festival in that there are three adjudicators giving traditional ratings using a WSMA rubric form designed for marching band. The only difference is that each adjudicator

is responsible for one performance area (music, visual and effect) but just like concert festivals, individual adjudicator ratings are combined into a composite.

The WSMA State Marching Band Championships will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013. If you would like more information, please contact Tim Wurgler by email at twurgler@wsmamusic. org or call the WSMA office at 1-800-589-9762.
