Benefit Concert in Black River Falls
Wisconsin Foundation for School Music was the beneficiary of a beautiful concert and fundraising effort on June 8. Residents of Black River Falls and the surrounding areas gathered at the Black River Falls United Methodist Church to see the musical drama “The Unforgettable One: Johannes Brahms,” which outlines the story of Brahms’ life through monologues and his music. The performers included Black River Falls native Sue Haug as well as Jonathon Sturm and Jane Cox. The foundation would like to thank The Black River Falls United Methodist Church Choir and Lunda Charitable Fund for helping make the event possible. Funds raised from the event helped the foundation purchase a SMART Board and other technological improvements to facilitate statewide education opportunities at the Wisconsin Center for Music Education.
