In-Services
The Wisconsin Center for Music Education is open to hosting music education in-service opportunities for school districts. We will work with you to create a meaningful in-service ex- perience for music educators. The center houses curriculum planning materials, the WSMA Festival Music List and an abundance of other resources. We can also assist in securing speakers that can address issues like RTI, SMART Board, SmartMusic, Student Centered Learning in the Arts, 21st Century Skills, Disciplinary Literacy, Education Effectiveness and more. Call 1-800-589-9762 for more information.
Retired administrator Robert Hanson joins his wife Cheryl, WSMA Board members and staff this June as the new flagpole at the center is dedicated in his honor for years of outstanding leadership and service to music education.
“On behalf of the visual art teachers who are involved in the Student Centered Learning in the Arts action research group, I would like to express our gratitude for the use of your facility for our biannual meetings… The centralized location of the Wisconsin Center for Music Education makes it possible for art teachers from diverse locations in Wisconsin to attend our planning meetings. Your building is extremely pleasant, comfortable and amenable to small and whole group discussions and presentations… Thank you for your role in keeping the arts strong in Wisconsin.”
