February, 2013 JOT Future-Proof Functional Test System
Kempele, Finland — The JOT M10 Functional Test Solution has been developed to answer the need for speeding up the development cycles and to overcome the capacity chal- lenges in manufacturing. The M10 is the successor to the very popular JOT Multi Level Tester, the world’s most-used automated production test solution for mobile devices until now. The company expects that the
M10 Functional Test Solution will be the world’s most effective, scalable and modular solution for board/PCB- level functional testing, flashing and RF-tuning of smart devices like mobile phones, smart phones, tablet computers, PCs and computers, moth- erboards, automotive electronics, or
basically any electronics product with high production quality requirements.
The very same test solution can be taken from R&D to production to
secure efficient and swift production ramp up. In addition, the modular system architecture enables the M10 to easily adapt to production volume variations during a product’s life cycle, and also between production lines and factories. The M10 Functional Test
Solution consists of M10 Test Boxes, M10 Test Rack, and M10 Test Handler. The Test Boxes come with integrated test electronics and are available both as RF and non-RF variants, supporting both module and panel-level testing. The M10 is suitable for a vari-

New Features for Epec’s InstantPCB Quote App
New Bedford, MA — InstantPCB - Quote, Epec Engineered Technol ogies’ quote and order tool, continues to push the bar for online custom build circuit boards. The online quoting app allows customers to quote custom printed cir- cuit boards 24/7. Every quote is then saved to the user’s profile, which can easily be viewed, compared, ordered, and re-ordered.
InstantPCBQuote’s newest fea-
ture allows users to order SMT sten- cils when placing online rigid PCB orders. Customers have the option of choosing framed, frameless, and pro- totype SMT stencils to fit their needs.
The SMT stencils are stainless
steel and 100 percent laser cut, deliv- ering improved aperture definition and superior dimensional tolerances for finer pitch apertures, down to 0.4mm (0.016-in.) and on a 600 x 600mm area. The company also has the capa-
bility to cut features with an aperture of ±9µ and a positional tolerance of ±12.5µ. Epec has been constantly improving its online quoting tools and as of last year, Instant PCB Quotes online capabilities include 1 and 2 day quick turn orders and increased their PCB layer count up to 16 layers for online orders. In addition, Instant - Flex Quote was introduced in August 2012 to offer the same level of conven- ience and customizability to flex cir- cuit customers. Every order placed online goes
through state of the art engineering software that scans engineering data files to identify quality problems before fabrication in order to accu- rately manufacture error-free print-
ed circuit boards without delay. Contact: EPEC Engineered
