Mesoestetic openCatalan
facilities Mesoestetic, whose products are available in the UK fromWellness Trading, have unveiled new facilities in Barcelona.
The new plant represents a €23 million investment, and will allow Mesoestetic Pharma Group to increase its production capacity 10 fold and increase its staff by 10%.
Wellness Trading’sAdam and Sandra Birtwistle attended the launch, along with Catalan Minister for Business and Employment, Francesc Xavier Mena, who commented: “Mesoestetic is the leader in Catalonia for the production of cosmetic products using pharmaceutical active ingredients.”
At its new plantMesoestetic will make products developed in cooperation with hospitals such as Barcelona’sVall d’Hebron, Geneva University,Marseille’ Dermatological Laser Centre, as well as clinics in Switzerland, France,Austria and SouthAfrica.

OceansDay Marine beauty firmThalgo recently held a beach clean at Reculver in Kent to raise awareness ofWorld Oceans Day.
Thalgo’sManaging DirectorMarian Green andMarketingManager Judith Emslie headed up the teamalong withThomas Hawkins, Coastal Development Officer fromForeshore Services at Canterbury City Council. During the day volunteers picked litter fromacross the beach, with over 21.9kg of rubbish
collected.All local volunteers enjoyed the day and each left with aThalgo goodie bag of products worth over £70.00.
Thomas Hawkins commented: “As a department we welcome all volunteer support fromcompanies such asThalgo, as well as school and community groups as we try andmake peoplemore aware of our coastal environments in general.”

appointed Guinot have appointed Nigel Dawson as FranchiseManager for the UK and Ireland.
He is said to bring his wealth of knowledge in developing franchise business plans and financial models, as well as his expertise in managing the performance of franchise businesses following previous positions with Boots and Dollond & Aitchison Opticians, and nine years asManaging Director of a distribution company.

Based on the success of Guinot’s pilot salon inAscot and the affiliate programme in France, Nigel plans to launch the franchise project in the UK this year intending to open approximately 150 Guinot franchise salons throughout the UK and Ireland over the next 10 years.
