50 NEW DEVELOPMENTS
New guide to movement joints Everything the architect or contractor needs to know about mechanical movement joints is now provided on a new CD available from Tremco illbruck, manufacturers of the leading Compriband range of products and systems. Already available on Tremco illbruck’s website and in binder format, the CD increases the versatility of information access. When selecting a movement joint, there are both aesthetic and technical considerations to take into account. Whichever profile is selected it has to be able to cater for various movements, bear the imposed loads, be durable and not consititute a trip hazard. Consideration must be given to joint width, movement capability, profile depth, loading and the working environment.

measures up for RMI Ibstock is stepping up to the plate to support local builders with the extension of its traditional range of bricks, a collection specially designed to offer a wide choice of sizes, colours and textures to create a refurbishment project in harmony with its local environment. With new builds at an all time low, the building industry is seeing greater competition in the RMI market which means that having the right products for the job is essential. Ibstock’s traditional range has been manufactured to match bricks produced before metric sizes became fashionable and the range includes 50mm, 68mm, 73mm and 80mm sizes. The bricks are produced using clays from a vast geographical spread in order to meet local builder’s needs, as well as the local vernacular. Click here to request literature
