Although it is now a bathroom & kitchen specialist and plumbers merchant, Robert Pochin was founded as an ironmongers on Granby Street, Leicester in 1860 and has spent the last 160 years expanding both organically and via acquisition.


In the last three years, it has acquired Mike Lodge Plumbing and Heating Merchant, opened branches in Newark , Arnold, Cannock, Derby and Lincoln and acquired NS Plumbing and Heating Supplies and Martin & Partner of Northampton.

ROBERT PRICE IS the largest independent builders’ merchants in South East Wales, with 27 branches across the region, plus a selection of specialist branches for roofing, timber, insulation, and agricultural supplies.


In February 2022, the company bought Hereford merchant, Tudors Building Supplies, which added two specialist branches (Roofing and Kitchens, Bathrooms & Landscaping), Although Tudors are integrating into the Robert Price Group, the newly acquired building suppliers will continue to trade under the Tudors name. Customers will also experience some additional benefits, which include access to other branches in the Robert Price network, their additional specialisms, and increased range of stock availability.
