Neil Warnock kicks off Jewson’s new EFL partnership in Leicester
English football’s longest-serving manager, Neil Warnock, has thrown his support behind the EFL’s newest official supporter – national builders’ merchant, Jewson.
Warnock visited Jewson’s Leicester branch to mark the launch of an ongoing partnership between the two organisations. While at the official launch event, he commented: “Although there’s a lot of money
at the very top of football, that’s not the case in every division. Football clubs are the lifeblood of their communities, so it’s important that national businesses with local roots like Jewson support them.
“This partnership has come at exactly the right time. It’s great to see Jewson taking that lead and joining forces with the EFL, and I’m sure its customers will really embrace this partnership.
Warnock’s appearance was not the only surprise at the Leicester branch. The Carabao Cup, the Papa John’s Trophy and the EFL’s three divisional trophies were on display, giving Jewson customers the chance to grab a silverware selfie. During the event, Jewson marketing director Gareth Drew said: “The EFL is a world-class organisation and includes some of the most famous and historic clubs on the planet. There’s no-one better to kick this partnership off than one of the game’s most well-known managerial names.”
Supreme Concrete fires up charity support
Supreme Concrete is supporting The Fire Fighters Charity during 2022/23. To kickstart the relationship, Supreme Concrete has made a £5000 donation, which it aims to bolster throughout the year with additional fundraising activities, to aid the charity in providing essential support and services to fire and rescue service personnel across the UK. Founded in 1940, The Fire Fighters Charity delivers specialist, lifelong health and wellbeing support to both active and retired members of the UK fire services
community, as well as their spouses, partners and dependants. Gavin Hoe, Sales Director at Supreme Concrete, said: “Our affiliation with The Fire Fighters Charity provides us with an invaluable opportunity to support UK Fire Service members and thank them for the essential role they each play in keeping our nation safe.”
