GUIDED DISCUSSION
Today we have a special guest coming in. Since the best way to prepare for babysitting is to meet and interact with children, you all will have the opportunity to meet and interact with a toddler/preschooler guest.
I need two volunteers; one of you will meet and greet the employer and complete a new job interview. The other volunteer will assist by meeting and greeting the employer and toddler/preschooler guest and entertaining the child.
[Select a volunteer to be the employer interviewer and give them a sheet of the Safe Sitter®
Important Information Note Pad.]
As the employer interviewer, you will act like you are at a job for a new employer.
• You will meet and greet the employer and toddler/preschooler guest. • You will fill out the Safe Sitter®
contact information and babysitting information.
• Remember to: – Be accurate—repeat the phone numbers. – Be quick—employers are usually in a hurry to leave. – Be neat—so you can read it.
– Be confident—employers will be impressed by eye contact and business-like manner.
