A passion for shipping and innovation has al- ways been the driving force behind Koedood Diesel Service. Set up by their father in 1961, Arie and Bert Koedood now run the business that is an influencial player in the field of shipping, offshore and industry engines.

Efficiency and durability are all-important words for Koedood. The company is a prin- cipal player in large projects of international note and, in acknowledgement of this work, won the Diesel Ship Engine Branch awards in 2015 and was nominated for a National Busi- ness Success Award.
INNOVATION is the driving force behind this successful company. Under the banner of ‘new shipping’ - electrically powered vessels - great steps are being made towards a 100 % clean industry. The company provided for the first inland shipping vessel in the world to be powered by a Dual Fuel LNG-Diesel motor. Together with subsidiary company Emigreen®, technical and research specialists for emissions control, Koedood works with a broad range of clients, from smaller shipping companies to multi-national concerns, always working towards the goal of keeping emissi- ons clean and under control. The results speak for themselves. The new IMO 3 requirements
and Stage V requirements for inland shipping vessels have been met.
Koedood Diesel Service has developed to become an all-round innovation specialist, combining know-how and expertise with con- tinuous curiosity to find solutions that both help protect the environment and generate economic benefits. And Koedood’s specialists happily share this knowledge. Koedood Diesel Service is associated with the Expertise and Innovation Centre for Inland Shipping Vessels’ (EICB) Innovation Lab that operates under the motto ‘Everyone benefits from cleaner inland shipping’.
