The Waldhaus STYRIA, AUSTRIA
This exclusive building has been built in a very special place in the forest, where Celts once lived. The outstanding atmosphere is brought about by a successful combination of traditional elements and innovative technolog together with appropriate lighting and clever accessories. Glass facades to the south and the east allow
gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains, practically bringing them indoors. The materials used are sustainable and regional: stone, steel, wood from the nearby forests: Swiss pine, larch and spruce. Up to eight people at a time can spend fabulous holidays in this luxury chalet in the Sekauer Alps, where tradition and modernity come together. A patron welcomes guests and escorts them to
the living area, which has an open fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating as well as a fully fitted kitchen. The private wellness area consists of a bar
made of steel and mature timber, an entirely glass-walled sauna, appropriate seating, an open raindrop shower and a bath tub. There’s also a
large wooden terrace with a grill and a heated infinity pool where you can play music of your own choice, even under water. On the upper floor there’s a home cinema and
multimedia room, an open-plan bathroom with separate WC, and a bedroom furnished with pine wood with a walk-in wardrobe and old pieces of decoration taken from the 500-year-old farm. An additional separately accessible area, which
is nestled in the wood and fitted with a private bathroom, may be used as a study or ‘play room for adults’ (think Fifty Shades of Grey). Hiking in the forests and mountains of the
surrounding protected areas, working out or practising yoga, trips to the surrounding lakes, watching groundhogs, mountain-biking, riding on horseback, tobogganing, alpine skiing or back- country skiing, cross-country skiing, fishing — all these activities allow a true experience of the surrounding nature starting right at the chalet. Kayaking, rafting, golf, tennis, ballooning, paragliding and helicopter trips are just some of the activities that can be organised.
Don’t miss Enjoy the breathtaking view and the silence with a glass of Champagne in the warm mountain spring water of the infinity pool
