SILENT-YACHTS is an Austrian-based company that’s revolutionising the yachting industry by its unique use of green energ. The company constructs the first and only
ocean-going production yachts, fully solar sustainable and powered by solar energ, offering a completely new experience of nature without noise or exhausts — pure solar-powered luxury. Heike and Michael Köhler, who have spent
approximately 5,000 days aboard cruising more than 75,000 nautical miles around the world, founded SILENT-YACHTS. They developed this innovative concept by testing alternative power sources on yachts between 2005 and 2009. In 2009, they launched the Solarwave 46, the
first fully self-sufficient blue-water catamaran. During the last few years, Michael and Heike
have received several awards honouring their research and development steps about alternative energ production and consumption on boats. The latest recognition was a highly commended in the Innovation Award category at this year’s Ocean Awards.
In 2018, SILENT-YACHTS designed and
developed the Silent 80. The first model will be delivered customers in 2020. For this boat, the company worked with Marco Casali from Too Design on both the exterior and interior. The catamaran carries the essential DNA,
the diligence, the signature consideration the company is known for. The Silent 80 simply represents an evolution. At the Cannes Yachting Festival 2019, SILENT-YACHTS unveiled its latest developments: the Silent 80 three-deck version, which allows customers to add a third deck. In addition, the company introduced a completely new model: the Silent 60. Next to buying them, SILENT yachts can also
be chartered. Moreover, the Silent 55 model is currently available for charter bookings from Majorca, Spain. Silent 60 and Silent 80 will also available for charter when the first boats are in the water. Book the luxurious yacht for a few days or even for a week and enjoy the SILENT way of cruising while diving in solitary bays and enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine.
