eco boutique hotel A.M.S. Beagle BLED, SLOVENIA
The eco-boutique hotel A.M.S. Beagle opened in 2015 and complies with the most advanced European ecological requirements. Its operations were recently awarded the Ecolabel certificate. Part of the Green Scheme of Slovenian
Tourism, A.M.S. Beagle offers four-star ecological accommodation. It’s comfortable, surrounded by nature and a good distance away from tumultuous downtown Bled. A.M.S. Beagle brings guests back to nature
and epitomises the concept of both sustainable living and responsible tourism. The zero-carbon standard and minimal carbon footprint of the buildings and its operations are enhanced by using only electrical vehicles and offering guests bicycles to use during their stay. The breakfast served on the premises is fresh and plentiful using only organic, local ingredients. A wide selection of toys and facilities are
available for children, including a playground and trampoline, and there’s a babysitting facility should parents need it. The hotel is also pet friendly. Rooms are large, offering excellent
views, and can accommodate two adults and up to two children, while the family suite can accommodate up to four children, plus parents. All rooms have access to a private terrace, TV and Xbox, as well as a bar with a wide selection of local ice-cold beers and ecological Slovenian wines. All rooms also have private whirlpool baths and access to the fitness room downstairs. A.M.S. Beagle is a mile from downtown Bled,
and only 200m from the Triglav National Park and world famous Vintgar gorge, and is a great base from which to explore the region. Areas of interest include Ljubljana, Postojna, Hiša Franko and Soca river (where The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was filmed), Planica (with the world’s longest ski jump), Bohinj lake and Vogel, and Radovna valley. In winter, Slovenia is one of the world’s best
ski and ice hockey destinations. The alpine resort town of Kranjska Gora is a 30-minute drive away, but other ski slopes are much closer. The hotel is also 30 minutes from Ljubljana’s international airport and 50 minutes from Klagenfurt Airport.
