Petit St Vincent SAINT VINCENT & THE GRENADINES
Petit St. Vincent, a private island resort, lies 40 miles south of St. Vincent in the Grenadines. As the southernmost in this group of Caribbean islands, it consists of rolling hills spread over 115 acres and is surrounded by two miles of white- sand beaches. Not surprisingly, it’s home to its very own exclusive boutique hotel resort. With 22 ocean-view units, the resort offers an
elegant take on the all-inclusive holiday. Eight one-bedroom cottages are elevated on various bluffs offering views of the archipelago; another eight are beachfront, as are the six two-bedroom villas. Both types of accommodation are very spacious — the bedrooms have king-size beds, lounges and sun decks, or beachfront gardens. All guest cottages are air-conditioned and
come fitted with Bose iPod docks, Nespresso coffee machines, Italian cotton bed linen, soft Mascioni towels and luxury bathroom amenities. The resort follows an unplugged, ‘no news, no shoes’ concept and has no televisions or internet. There are two restaurants and bars. The Main Pavilion Restaurant offers great service and daily
changing menus, with locally caught fish and imported prime cuts of meat, including black Angus beef and New Zealand lamb. The large walk-in wine cellar houses more than 4,000 bottles of wine. The Beach Restaurant provides a more relaxed
vibe. The sea-to-table menu includes freshly grilled fish as well as locally caught lobster, plus a variety of Mediterranean-style salads and pasta dishes, along with homemade pizzas cooked in a clay oven. With turquoise tropical waters and unspoilt
reefs, the on-site Jean-Michel Cousteau Caribbean Dive Centre offers off-the-beaten- track dives. And, with a fleet of boats, ample watersports equipment and a tennis court, there’s plenty to do Alternatively, stretching out in one of the many hammocks dotted around the island’s beaches is a popular option. The resort has two on-site yoga instructors
hosting group sessions in the yoga pavilions, while open-air massage and beauty treatments are available in the hillside spa complex.
Don’t miss Sail to Tobago Cays Marine Park on the wooden sloop Beauty, and spot juvenile blacktip reef sharks at sunset
