PAID CONTENT FOR VERANDA BEACH HOUSE

Veranda Beach House CARRIACOU, GRENADA

Veranda Beach House is situated right on the waterfront in tranquil Tom’s Bay, Carriacou, within a quiet and salubrious residential estate. There’s private access to a small sandy beach where the swimming and snorkelling are glorious. It’s a true paradise in which to relax, rejuvenate

and enjoy an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Veranda Beach House is a villa where guests can soak up and savour a piece of Caribbean natural beauty, whether chilling in a hammock, looking out over the turquoise Caribbean Sea or across to the deserted islands in the bay. Envisage peaceful days soaking up the sun,

strolling through the garden where bougainvillea of every colour cascade or snorkelling off the reef near the beach. Later, watch the sun set over the ocean while sipping a rum punch. The established garden features mango,

pineapple, coconut and lime trees, and there are recently planted pawpaw, guava, avocado and soursop. The birdlife is incredible, with hummingbirds, bananaquits and seabirds, including pelicans and herons, often seen close

to the house. Private Zen yoga, breathwork and massage sessions can be arranged as you wish, leaving you free to set your own schedule. The small island of Carriacou is situated in the

Windward Islands of the West Indies and is steeped in history, particularly boatbuilding. Above all, it’s a marine paradise, with plenty of opportunities for scuba diving and snorkelling on the nearby reefs. Guests can enjoy their own double en-suite

bedrooms, and there are two outdoor showers. A private chef can be arranged upon request or there are several interesting local places to eat, offering the chance to experience the island’s culture and cuisine. Restaurants are just a short taxi ride away — culinary delights include lobster barbecues, Grenadian Oil Downs and other international cuisine served right on the beach. Leisure activities include swimming with

turtles, snorkelling, scuba diving, taking a boat trip to another island or visiting the Marine Park at Sandy Island. There are plenty of quirky local buses and taxis available, as well as local boats to help you explore your beautiful surroundings.

DON’T MISS Take a boat trip to Sandy Island before eating at Paradise Beach where quaint little rum shacks are dotted along the shore
