PAID CONTENT FOR KORIMANA

Korimana LA MANÁ, ECUADOR

At the point where the Andes soften into Ecuador’s tropical lowlands, near the town of La Maná, Korimana occupies a landscape defined by ecological transition. Here, cool mountain air meets humid forest, rivers move through volcanic soil and wildlife shifts between ecosystems. In the distance, Cotopaxi rises above the horizon, an active stratovolcano whose presence has shaped both terrain and cultural memory for centuries. Korimana presents itself as a healing

retreat grounded in ancestral reference and environmental awareness. The philosophy centres on synchronising spirit, mind and body through ancestral healing therapies meditation, guided ritual and immersion in nature. Sacred fire ceremonies draw inspiration from Andean and Amazonian traditions, while meditation sessions take place within geometric structures to encourage focus and stillness. Water forms a defining element of the

experience. Korimana is home to Splendor Water, sourced from aquifers connected to Cotopaxi’s volcanic geology. Filtered through volcanic

rock over decades, the water carries a mineral composition shaped by its origin. Integrated into hydration rituals, aquatic therapies and restorative circuits, it links the geological forces of the Andes with the physical processes of the body. La Maná’s location at the intersection of

Andean and tropical ecosystems contributes to its distinctive character. The convergence of climates supports rich biodiversity. Guests often encounter a noticeable shift in atmosphere, with the sound of moving water creating an environment that’s conducive to reflection. Korimana has 18 intimate rooms where biophilic design principles allow light, air and ambient sound to flow through the space. At the centre of the property stands a 260-panel glass pyramid — referred to as the Meditation Cosmic Portal — which is used for contemplation and structured practice. Additional facilities include a temazcal for Indigenous sweat purification rituals, a chlorine-free infinity pool fed by natural spring water, cold plunge and whirlpool bath zones, a Longevity Studio for regenerative therapies as well as a hammam, sauna, gym and business centre.
