PAID CONTENT FOR ALPINE HIDEAWAY VIKTORIA

Alpine Hideaway Viktoria SOUTH TYROL, ITALY

Mornings at Alpine Hideaway Viktoria begin with light flooding through large windows and a view that instantly lifts the spirit. Located in Avelengo, a picturesque village on a sunny plateau above the city of Merano, the hotel offers a serene escape in Italy’s northernmost region. The area is known as ‘Merano’s sun terrace’, thanks to it having more than 315 days of sunshine a year and its breathtaking views of the Alps, so the outdoors is an invitation rather than a backdrop. Walking and hiking trails also start directly from the hotel, making it super easy to explore. At the hotel’s heart is the Hylèa Spa, a calming

wellness retreat spanning around 6,000sq metres. The outdoor infinity pool appears to merge with nature, while indoor/outdoor pools and whirlpools allow seamless transitions between activity and rest. A natural bio pool fed by mountain spring water refreshes both body and mind. The thermal suite features nine distinct saunas

with daily guided infusion sessions. Sauna masters combine heat, scents and gentle exfoliation to turn a simple visit into an immersive experience.

Cooling dips in plunge pools follow, then guests are invited to rest in secluded relaxation areas or on loungers overlooking the woodland. From summer 2026, the Hylèa Skypool, which has a terrace and relaxation room, will add even more expansive vistas over the forests and rolling hills. Physical activity at Viktoria is designed to feel

effortless. The Body & Mind studio offers yoga, Pilates and meditation sessions to strengthen, stretch and restore energy without pressure. Sessions take place indoors or outdoors, depending on the season and are tailored to the rhythm of the day. Culinary experiences focus on local authenticity.

The three-quarter board includes a wholesome breakfast, light afternoon snack and a multi-course dinner made up of Alpine ingredients given a modern twist. An a la carte bistro provides extra indulgence between meals. Surrounded by woodland and mountain air, the

hotel offers a rare sense of calm. And, as the day winds down, Viktoria’s quiet charm becomes ever more apparent.

DON’T MISS Enjoy a morning swim in the Hylèa skypool surrounded by nature and beautiful, picturesque landscapes
