For the promises made about children’s rights in the UNCRC and the Irish Constitution to become a reality, we must all pay special attention to the rights of children. Threats to these rights continue to exist both in Ireland and around the world. In this chapter, we will focus on the following case studies:
• the rights of children in direct provision centres in Ireland
• the use of child labour around the world
• children’s rights in war zones such as Syria.
