Sometimes it can be hard to keep up with who the most powerful people in the European Union are, despite the fact that they have a big impact on our lives. Find out the following:
• Who is the current President of the European Council? • Who is the current President of the European Commission? • Who is the current President of the European Parliament? • Which country currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union? • Name one MEP elected from your region at the last European Parliament elections.
Now that you know the answers, try asking a random selection of five students from outside your class and five adults. What percentage of each knew each answer? What do these results tell you about how much EU citizens know about EU leadership?
