As awareness of the campaign grew, more and more people found their way to the HeForShe website, which was designed to make it really easy for men or boys to pledge their support and promise to take some action, however small, to aid the goal of greater gender equality.
While on the website, men and boys could also read stories and browse through media and resources about the campaign

and the issues faced by women due to gender inequality around the world. Many then in turn shared their pledge with their social media followers, directing even more people to the website.
Has HeForShe had an impact in the real world?
HeForShe publishes an ‘impact report’ every year that tracks the progress of the commitments made by the Impact 10x10x10 Champions in their areas of influence that year.
The real-world changes that have come about due to these commitments include:
• initiatives to reduce violent attacks on female students
• steps taken to reduce the workplace pay gap between men and women
• a larger proportion of women hired into senior positions in major corporations
• programmes to reduce child marriage and increase the numbers of girls in full-time education in Malawi
