Marriage of Iveta Brike
and Shane Younger It was with much pleasure that we learnt rather belatedly of the marriage of this happy couple. Shane has been a Member of our Club for many, many years and when he brought the lovely Iveta to the Club to introduce her we were all delighted for him. Iveta became, inspite of Shane’s intermittent visits, one of us. He obviously felt the same way and took her as his bride. We are delighted that Shane has found a soul-mate and we extend our sincerest congratulations to them both.

Schmitt-Bylandt
There had been an absence during the 2016 season on the polo field and now we know why. Astrid was busy starting her own team of the future. We are not sure whether she had imagined a ‘Double Whammy’ but has happily delivered babies Anabella and Zaccariah. We all congratulate her on this ‘Duet’ birth and wish her much patience to cope and perhaps she will form a Polo Team in due course. Well done Astrid and perhaps we will have the chance to watch them blossom and grow on the green fields of our Club at Ham.
Marriage of Abi Mowat
and Ben Anderson The Clubhouse was the natural venue of choice for the marriage between Abi and Ben, one of HPC’s lovely lady players, Abi having spent many happy polo hours there. On a perfect sunny afternoon, the stunning bride was escorted by her son Logi, who gave her away, into the superbly decorated Clubhouse where an emotional ceremony took place in front of the guests. The flowers were spectacular with their beautiful fragrance wafting throughout adding to the occasion. The guests were then treated to a champagne reception and wonderful dinner with some Golden Oldies music which had the guests having a lot of fun and unashamedly singing along. What a wedding !

to the world Theodore Laurence Younger
Having spent the summer following Shane back and forth to polo and just to prove that love really does conquer all; Iveta gave birth to Theodore Laurence Younger cementing the happy union. The beautiful boy was delivered to them during the Polo Season on 6th May 2016.
Welcome to the world Lucas Ventura
I am sure that everyone will join us in welcoming the third generation of the Ventura family into the Club. Freddie and Nastassia, who married in 2015 and had a fabulous wedding reception at the Club, introduced a beautiful blue eyed baby boy named Lucas Frederick Matthew Ventura on July 18th 2016. Have we got another future polo player for the Ventura Pauly Team at HPC, London? Knowing that Freddie followed in his father’s footsteps, may Lucas perhaps follow also and keep the generational issue ongoing?
