GRANGE HOTELS DAY by Florence Reynolds
xxxx
Driving up the tree lined drive, Ham Polo Club opens up to the beautiful grounds where play takes place. People gathered in their finest regalia to enjoy a day at the polo.
The Grange Polo day is held as a grateful thank you to the hotel's most loyal customers. There is no expense spared which reiterates their gratitude and their generosity. It is a fabulous day that allows office based individuals to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
A Champagne reception to start the proceedings took place as people mingled and gathered finding their perch for the day. Soon after, a most lavish spread was laid out for all the guests with row after row of beautifully displayed food, certainly a feast fit for kings.
The club house was decorated in white linen and raw silks;
even the ceiling was thoughtfully covered in a lavish silk drape enhancing the room into a faultlessly set out space to ensure a perfectly relaxing and thrilling day. Rubbing shoulders with peers in their field, it was a real chance to relax and network with each other away from the workplace. Partnerships with Lanson Champagne and Hendricks Gin enabled everyone to go home with a small keepsake of the wonderful day.
The guests were then called to the veranda to watch the polo match. Watching the ponies pound up and down the field and the polo players skilfully hitting the ball in the direction of their goalmouth, it was exquisite and an utter delight. It was not difficult to appreciate the moment and feel happy that you had given loyalty to Grange Hotels and are then rewarded in such a splendid way which was very much aspired to.
