With five teams entered the 2016 Summer Tournament was played over four days. There were some furious league games, particularly between Cavaliers and La Mariposa. The evening fixtures gave Ham’s social members a nice opportunity to drop into their club for sundowners and some exciting entertainment.
Arriving in the final were an unbeaten La Mariposa and Heiko Voelker's Tchogan who came through via a draw in Saturday's group game. La Mariposa had two three goalers in the form of Charlie Wood and the experienced ex 5 goaler Mariano Daritchon. The Tchogan pros were Fede Boudou off 4 and his regular team mate 2 goaler Orlando Camus.

The first chukka was exhilarating with each team scoring three goals. After the first chukka though it was La Mariposa's Mariano Darritchon who turned up the heat, the Argentine three goaler was all over the field, managing to have a say in most plays, backed up by Ham's Charlie Wood they took a strong lead into the final stages of the game. Boudou wasn't about to give up going for several long range efforts that were marginally wide. La Mariposa were too strong though maintaining their lead until the final bell. Best playing pony was sponsored by Hugs & Co. Footwear and was won by Prima Da Vinci played by Charlie Wood.
In the subsidiary final were two familiar Ham teams Quadriga and Andina. Having already met earlier in the tournament both teams were familiar with each other’s game plan. Quadriga had snatched the win in the group game but Andina were well prepared for their rematch. Lorenzo Larumbe and Charlie Scott put the work in for Jose Miguel Smith and Katherine Smithwick's team playing well as a pair to earn the win for Andina.
