A NOTE FROM OUR

PRESIDENT Mohammed S Almarzooqi

It is a great honour to be asked to become the Honorary President of HPC the London Polo Club for the next two years. I know that I follow in the footsteps of such polo notables as Major Archie David, Billy Walsh, and Sir David Brown of Aston Martin fame, Bryan Morrison, Ali Albwardy and Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

My polo career was sadly cut short by pressure of work but I did purchase my first polo boots and took my first lessons at Ham many years ago and have always been proud to support the Club by holding the Cheval Residences Trophy match there each year.

Over the years I have seen the club grow and prosper under the leadership of the General Committee and its proud heritage of being the last remaining polo club in the

Greater Metropolitan Area has allowed it to become one of the oldest and most well respected of all the Clubs here in the United Kingdom.

The atmosphere of a family day out on the outskirts of a thriving metropolis is second to none and I am delighted to still be part of it after so many years.

May I wish the Club, its Players and Members a successful and enjoyable season.
