eventually becomes visible at the skin surface, the skin gradually exhibits reduced smoothness, lower elasticity and diminished recovery capacity, contributing to wrinkle formation and a rougher, less homogeneous appearance. To investigate whether the structural


improvements observed ex vivo could translate into visible cosmetic benefits, the encapsulated EGF delivery system was further evaluated under clinical conditions through a 56-day half-face study under dermatological control with twice-daily topical application. One of the assessed parameters was


skin roughness using three-dimensional skin profilometry through the Ra parameter, which reflects overall surface irregularities and texture heterogeneity. Lower Ra values are associated with smoother and more homogeneous skin topography. After 56 days of twice-daily application, the


encapsulated EGF delivery system reduced skin roughness by 23% compared with baseline values and achieved a 1.4-fold greater improvement in skin smoothness versus untreated skin (Figure 3). These instrumental results suggest an overall improvement in surface organization and visible skin texture quality. Clinical imaging further supported these findings (Figure 4). VISIA® analysis revealed visible improvements in overall skin texture and wrinkle appearance after treatment, together with reduced surface irregularities and improved skin smoothness. Visible softening of the nasolabial fold as


well as reductions in marionette line depth and length were also observed throughout the treated areas. Horizontal reference lines were included to facilitate visual comparison between experimental time points. Volunteer perception additionally reinforced these observations, with 88% of participants reporting smoother skin and 92%

perceiving firmer skin after 56 days of use. Wrinkle appearance was additionally


evaluated using the Rz parameter, which reflects wrinkle depth by measuring the average distance between peaks and valleys within the skin surface profile. Following 56 days of treatment, the encapsulated EGF system reduced wrinkle depth by 27% versus baseline and achieved a 1.9-fold greater wrinkle reduction compared with untreated skin (Figure 3). PRIMOS® analysis of the periocular area


further confirmed these effects, revealing visible reductions in wrinkle depth and wrinkle intensity within the crow’s feet region together with improvements in overall skin texture homogeneity and surface smoothness. VISIA images additionally showed visible


smoothing of the upper eyelid area together with reductions in wrinkle length and depth within crow’s feet, infraorbital and tear trough regions after treatment (Figure 5). These instrumental observations were
