French newbie Naemos celebrates awards recognition
French biotech newcomer Naemos is celebrating the recent recognition of two of its cosmetic active ingredients, Shisome and Synatis. The company won silver in the
best active ingredient at this year’s in-cosmetics Global for Shisome, an anti-ageing complex containing a high concentration of rosmarinic acid for enhanced antioxidant power.
The ingredient also took
second place at the 2026 BSB Awards in the best natural active
ingredient category. Naemos’ so-called ‘neuro-
longevity’ ingredient, Synatis, meanwhile, was honoured with a silver BSB Award in the most innovative raw material category. By harnessing the power of
sinapic acid - a ‘neuroprotective’ molecule – Synatis is said to “transform cellular perception into a powerful anti-ageing lever”. “This triple recognition is a
significant achievement for Naemos,” said CEO Estelle Loing. “The fact that Shisome and

Seppic unleashes companion care
formulation kit Seppic has launched ‘The Tail-ored Pet Care Collection’, a formulation kit for animal hygiene and care. Following the launch of its
dedicated line of ingredients Sepifriend for companion animals, the French company has created six formulations providing manufacturers with technical evidence and inspiration needed to address the care and hygiene requirements of pets.
The kit features high-performance functional ingredients, including sulfate-free foamers, solubilizers, rheology modifiers, emulsifiers and emollients, to create textures with optimal viscosity and sensory profiles adapted to both the pet’s comfort and the owner’s expectations. With more than half of the
global population estimated to have a pet at home and animals playing an increasingly central role in households, the demand for grooming products has reached new heights. By emphasizing the safety of
formulations and the natural origin of ingredients, the demand aligns with the sensory standards of the cosmetics industry. However, animal physiology
requires a dedicated approach as pets skin is three to five times thinner than human skin and maintains a more neutral pH. Seppic’s Sepifriend ingredients
have been rigorously tested in vitro on reconstructed canine epidermis, demonstrating no impact on tissue viability and suggesting their suitability for leave‑on or rinse‑off applications. ‘The Tail-ored Pet Care
Collection’, demonstrates of Sepifriend ingredients effectiveness through a premium three-step routine for dogs, cats or horses: ■ Step 1: cleansing sensitive areas (soothing eye contour pet cleanser, gentle pet ear lotion)
■ Step 2: coat & skin hygiene (ultra- mild moisturizing & soothing pet shampoo, no-rinse cleansing & purifying foam)
■ Step 3: care for specific areas (sprayable shine & coat care, nose & paw balm with Centella asiatica) “This collection demonstrates
Seppic’s ability to deliver high- naturality formulas ready to meet the evolving demands of the global market,” said a spokeswoman.
