Symrise launches Gen Alpha product development platform

Symrise has launched Sym Alpha Think Tank, a generational market intelligence platform for selected partners in its Scent & Care segment. The German personal care

ingredient maker says the programme will help its customers translate Gen Alpha expectations into products and experiences with clear consumer relevance and move from idea to launch with stronger early validation. Consumer-culture and

innovation-strategy expert Paula Limena, drawing on more than 20 years of experience across health, wellness, ingredients, and branded innovation ecosystems, will lead the

Vytrus signs deals in Poland, Germany

Spanish cosmetic active maker Vytrus Biotech has signed distribution deals with IMCD and C.H. Erbslöh Polska covering Germany and Poland respectively. The agreement with

IMCD Deutschland as its new distribution partner in Germany represents a strategic milestone in Vytrus’ expansion across the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region, it said. At the same time, Vytrus

Biotech is also starting direct commercialization in Austria and Switzerland, reinforcing its proximity to customers and enabling a more direct interaction with cosmetic companies in both markets. This hybrid commercial

model — combining strategic distributors with direct commercialization in selected countries — allows Vytrus to increase market knowledge, strengthen customer relationships and accelerate the integration of market insights into future innovation developments. “The DACH region is highly

strategic for Vytrus due to its strong innovation culture,” it said.

initiative, which combines sensory workshops, cultural intelligence, and AI validation. Symrise piloted Sym Alpha

throughout 2025 with selected key customers across strategic categories. The programme is said

to have delivered actionable early-stage validation, helped shorten development cycles, and strengthened current engagements with multiple partners. Gen Alpha, the currently largest generation, spans roughly ages 8–14,

with an estimated 2.5 billion globally in 2026. “Gen Alpha will reshape how

brands build trust and deliver experiences,” said Cheryl Morano,

SVP Consumer Fragrance at Symrise. “Our 2025 pilot showed that

early engagement with this cohort strengthens innovation decisions and outcomes. With Sym Alpha, we scale this capability to help strategic partners validate concepts earlier, sharpen development focus, and bring products to market faster,” she added.

“This commitment reflects our

focus on building future-ready solutions and drives sustained, long- term growth with our customers”.
