Delivering stable retinol to skin care
Givaudan Active Beauty has launched Spherulite R10, a new solution to use retinol in a more stable and efficient way for skin care. Crafted with the Spherulite technology, Spherulite R10 demonstrates faster and superior anti-ageing clinical efficacy compared to free retinol. Far more stable than free
retinol in formulation and twice more stable than other benchmark encapsulated retinol, Spherulite R10 enables vitamin A to have a better bioavailability into the epidermis. When compared to free retinol in a double blind versus placebo clinical trial, Spherulite R10 demonstrated quicker and
superior rejuvenating results than free retinol with a significant decrease of crow’s feet wrinkles (-11.1% in one month) and of the volume of nasolabial wrinkles (-37.3% in 2 months).
Over 70% of
volunteers have seen a visible effect on wrinkles and felt their skin more plumped after using this microencapsulated retinol, validating that Spherulite R10 brings a solution for consumers of all beauty brands who seek to win the battle
Naturally revitalising the skin
Detoxondria is a biotechnological extract developed by Codif Technologie Naturelle from Rhodella violacea to detoxify cells. An active ingredient to improve
waste recycling and mitophagic performance cultivated in photobioreactors where it is repeatedly exposed to severe oxidative stress using hydrogen peroxide, Rhodella stimulates its
intra-cellular defences and reacts by producing a protective exopolysaccharide. Special concentration methods are the used to produce Detoxondria. Detoxondria detoxifies, oxygenises, and revitalises tired skin for a more homogenous and luminous completion. It enhances cellular detoxification capabilities through the recycling of metabolic
wastes as well as the
enhancement of the mitochondrial footprint and network. And to de- multiply cellular detox efficacy, it improves the mitophagy performance index, symbol of cellular rejuvenation. It increases oxygenation of the
skin; improves luminosity of skin tone and reduces susceptibility of the skin to fatigue.

against wrinkles. To inspire the beauty
industry, Givaudan Active Beauty’s formulation experts crafted S3D PoweR-10, the first micro- vectorised retinol anti- ageing night cream. Featuring Spherulite R10, it will help treat wrinkles softly and carefully. Fresh and light, the cream penetrates quickly into the skin without leaving any excess or sticky effect. The experience is what Givaudan Active Beauty call the “vectorised youth therapy”.
