Procedure Under mixing, disperse Avicel PC 591 into water of phase A1. Maintain mixing for about 15 minutes. Prepare premix phase A2 and add to phase A1, then add phase A3 to combined phase A1+A2. Maintain mixing for about 5 minutes, then heat to 75˚C. Heat phase B to 75˚C. Under rapid mixing (rotor stator 3000 rpm), add phase B to combined phase A1+A2+A3. Maintain rapid mixing for about 10 minutes. Cool under mixing at about 35˚C then add phase C. Complete cooling. Procedure Heat the water of phase A to 70 – 75°C. Add the powders slowly and mix until homogeneous, maintaining the temperature. Homogenise if necessary. Heat phase B to 70 - 75°C. Add phase B to A. Add phase C to the bulk. Mix for 10 - 15 minutes. Add phase D below 45°C and then phase E below 30°C. Mix until homogeneous. Adjust the pH as shown, if necessary.
