Dan Carpenter Global Head of Game Tech Sales, AMAZON WEB SERVICES


Dan Carpenter is Global Head of the Game Tech Sales Organization at Amazon Web Services (AWS). With his forward-looking leadership, he has been instrumental in growing the vertical into a global business covering the entirety of the video game industry and the gaming space. A ten-year veteran of AWS, Dan is helping the world’s top gaming companies to innovate using advanced technology to build the next generation of games.


Dan leads an organization of customer- obsessed sales professionals responsible for Games account management and go-to- market initiatives. As strategic partners, the Game Tech Sales team looks around corners and develops recommendations to sustain and accelerate customer success. Millions of customers—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—are using AWS to lower costs, become more agile, and innovate faster. AWS’ differentiated solutions empower game designers to design, build, scale, operate and sell the most dynamic and engaging experiences on the planet.


Dan’s team is making the impossible possible by partnering closely with customers to enable them to build nearly any new experience they can imagine. Outside of work, Dan is passionate about giving back to the local Seattle community. He coaches youth athletes for the non-profit Eastside Lions Rugby team, whose mission is to develop and foster life-long physical and mental well-being. He is also Chairman of the Information Systems Advisory Board of the Washington State University Carson College of Business.
