Canada - Kambi signs with Mohegan Gaming Kambi has entered into an agreement with Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) to provide its online mobile sportsbook to the operator’s Fallsview Casino brand in Ontario, Canada. The multi-year deal will see MGE leverage Kambi’s technology and mobile sports betting offering, which includes its ice hockey product and Bet Builder capability, for its PlayFallsview online mobile sportsbook brand.
Michigan - Online casinos ‘neck-and-neck’ According to revenue numbers released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and the Michigan Gaming Control Board, online casinos in NJ generated $134,628,446 in revenue versus $132,438,012 for Michigan online casinos in April.
Michigan online casinos set a new revenue record in April, closing the gap to just under $2.2m in total revenue difference between the two states. Michigan is becoming the more dominant state when it comes to revenue per online casino since Michigan only has 14 online casinos while New Jersey is home to 32 online casinos.
Canada - DraftKings launches in Ontario DraftKings has launched its online sportsbook and online casino products in Ontario, Canada. DraftKings will deliver customers in Ontario its sportsbook app, as well as more than 130 online casino game variations through DraftKings Casino such as baccarat, blackjack, roulette and slots. Customers in Ontario will be able to enjoy an array of parlay options, including DraftKings’ same-game-parlay feature.

Tribune Publishing Center has been selected for Chicago’s sole casino licence.
Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot has announced that the city has selected Bally’s Corporation to be the recipient of its sole casino licence and the developer to create a world-class casino-resort and entertainment experience in Chicago on the site of the Tribune Publishing Center.
Te proposal from Bally’s entails a $1.7bn casino project and hotel on a portion of the current industrial Tribune Publishing Center. Tis includes a 3,000-seat theatre; an Immerse Agency exhibition experience; an extension of the Riverwalk; pedestrian bridge; a 500-room hotel tower; an outdoor park; an outdoor music venue; an amenity terrace featuring a large pool spa, fitness center and sun deck; and six restaurants, cafes and a food hall. Te casino will offer space for 3,400 slots and 170 table games. Bally’s Corporation projected the development will add more than 3,000 construction jobs annually and 3,000 permanent casino jobs.

Nevada - Aristocrat new facility breaks ground Aristocrat Gaming is breaking ground on a new manufacturing facility in Henderson, Nevada. Aristocrat’s new Las Vegas Integration Center is a 250,000sq.ft facilitythat will house large scale production and innovative office space.
Aristocrat President of Americas and EMEA, Tommy O’Brien, led the ceremony. He said: “We are thrilled to build our new manufacturing facility in Henderson as we continue to refine our efficiencies and provide the best product. We have complete confidence that our team members will use this new facility to its full capacity to create the best experience for our customers for years to come.”

An agreement signed by Michigan Gaming Control Board Executive Director, Henry Williams, allows internet poker players in Michigan to compete against players in Delaware, Nevada and New Jersey. Tese three states belong to the Multi- State Internet Gaming Agreement, and Michigan is now a member. Te Michigan Legislature in December 2020 passed a bill to allow the MGCB to join a multijurisdictional poker compact, giving Michigan residents the ability to compete with poker players in other states. Sen. Curtis Hertel sponsored the bill (now PA 327 of 2020), which was signed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Dec. 29, 2020. Language allowing multijurisdictional play was omitted from the original internet gaming law signed in December 2019 (PA 152 of 2019). Te 2021 Michigan law limits multijurisdictional internet gaming play to poker.

Bally’s has provided a unique proposal concerning equity through a crowdfunding initiative, which includes the ability for small investors to leverage up their investment with non-recourse debt. Nevada Nevada enjoys its best ever April for revenues
For the 14th consecutive month, Nevada casinos surpassing $1bn in gaming win, hitting $1.23bn this past April, up 8.6 per cent compared to the same monthly figures in 2021.
Casinos on the Strip, in Clark County and statewide had their highest April gaming win ever.
On the Las Vegas Strip, the win was $593.5m, up 22.8 per cent from the same month in 2021. Slot- machine win of $804.1m statewide was up 1.4 per cent whilst able- game win was up by 31.9 per cent to $324m with the amount bet up 28.5 per cent to $2.6bn.
Baccarat win of $51.8m increased 75.9 per cent and the drop of $559.2m was up 48.4 per cent over last year.
Sports books were down slightly bringing in $25.4m, marking a fall of 6.9 per cent from April 2021.
Control Board Research Analyst, Michael Lawton, said: “Te Strip’s results benefited from strong demand for gaming activity and consumers continued to display resiliency as their behavior remained consistent across multiple customer segments.’
“In April, Harry Reid International Airport offered nonstop service from 16 different carriers to 17 international destinations, including those in Mexico, Canada, Panama, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.
“Te resumption of flights represents a near total restoration of the international nonstop service Las Vegas lost in 2020,” he added. “International passenger totals in April were the highest total recorded since February 2020 and increased 29.9 percent sequentially compared to March 2021.”
