National Lottery Replaces Maltco Lotteries Malta’s National Lottery plc, a subsidiary of the IZI Group, has unveiled its
corporate brand – NATIONAL LOTTERY - which will replace Maltco Lotteries.
National Lottery will take over the operation of the national lottery of Malta on the July 5, with the first Lotto draw earmarked for Saturday July 9 at 20:35hrs.

MONACO – Partners for the past two seasons, AS Monaco and VBET are extending their partnership until 2025. GREECE – GoldenRace has signed a partnership deal with Betsson to become the first and only virtual games provider of the operator in Greece. As such, Betsson’s online players in Greece will be able to access GoldenRace’s virtual sports and games via an aggregator platform.

FRANCE – The Carry-le-Rouet casino in the Bouches-du-Rhône region of France has changed directors. Hervé Le-Cam was inducted in the presence of Jean-Charles Pitt, director of casino operations for the Barrière group, which operates the establishment, and René-Francis Carpentier, the mayor of the town.
The Carry-le-Rouet casino is undergoing major renovations, including a 500sq.m extension of the play areas, the opening of a bar and a Café des Sports restaurant in the play rooms and the creation of a privatised space open to the sea and the port. As part of the renovation work, the Royan casino will increase its slots offer from 175 to 200 machines. Carry-le-Rouet is in 33rd place in the ranking of French casinos generating €8.947m in 2020-21.

Malta’s National Lottery plc, a subsidiary of the IZI Group, has unveiled its corporate brand – NAtional Lottery that will replace Maltco Lotteries. In a symbolic event organised at the Mdina Ditch, the company unveiled its plans to launch a lottery brand that is truly national and that above all a truly represents the Maltese and their deep-rooted connection with the National Lottery games.
Te event was addressed by IZI Group Chief Commercial Officer, Franco De Gabriele. Mr. De Gabriele described the journey that led to the award of the national concession to operate the national lottery of Malta, the major gaming operation in Malta providing a service to hundreds of thousands on a weekly basis.
“We are proud that after 18 years since the privatisation of the national lottery of Malta in 2004, the lottery will be operated for the first time by a wholly owned Maltese company, whose mission is to provide the market with a service that is local, innovative and of the highest levels of quality.
“Our first decision was to re-establish ‘National Lottery’ as the corporate brand, restoring the name after a very long absence. Tis is the first step towards bringing back the national identity of this national concession, a service provided by the Maltese to the Maltese.
“Te Group is also very excited to bring to
market improvements to the existing products, new products to enrich the current product portfolio and an investment in systems to ensure that the service offered is the highest standards built on the most rigorous of compliance frameworks. On the 5th of July 2022 a new era in gaming in Malta will commence, a new era for the national lottery of Malta.”
Mr. De Gabriele also mentioned the importance of several stakeholders in this project, foremost the Lottery Agents, who form an essential part of the national lottery ecosystem considered to be the front liners whose dedication and entrepreneurship are fundamental components of the national lottery. Moreover, Mr. De Gabriele had words of praise to the employees of the company who have been working tirelessly to ensure that the company delivers a world- class lottery service.
During the event an audio-visual production of the historic development of the lottery of Malta was projected on the Mdina bastions. Te short film symbolically depicting the deep- entrenched tradition of the Maltese towards the National Lottery games and the strategic contribution of the lottery towards society.

UK Greentube content live with PokerStars
Greentube has taken its content live with PokerStars. Te launch has taken place initially in Italy, to be followed by other major markets on the continent including the UK, Denmark, Spain, Greece and Romania. A selection of the supplier’s top-performing titles is now available to PokerStars’ Italian customers, including Book of Ra, Dolphin’s Pearl deluxe and Lucky Lady’s Charm.
Te new, long-term partnership with PokerStars represents a major deal for Greentube, with the ultimate goal for the supplier being to roll out its localised content with the tier-one operator across multiple regulated European markets.
Te PokerStars launch follows a period of strong growth for Greentube, with the supplier entering new markets in Europe, North America, Africa and LatAm.

Lichtenstein
MCL-Resorts opened Casino Maximus in Schaan in Lichtenstein on May 11. It has opened with two bars and 180 slots spread over 1,300sq.m of space over two floors with 12 gaming tables. At the start of February, the Novo Swiss Group bought a majority stake in Casino Maximus from the German Schmid family. Te group, which already operates Admiral Casinos in Ruggell and Triesen in the Liechtenstein casino market and holds a share in the Grand Casino in Bendern, has held 60 per cent of the shares through the group company Gryphon Management (FL) AG since the beginning of February.
