picture” ideas while automating the repetitive, technical, or exploratory processes. Tis combination leads to genuinely innovative outcomes, whether it’s a fresh take on a classic slot or an entirely new format inspired by unconventional sources. So yes, AI can and does contribute groundbreaking ideas to game design when used thoughtfully.
What role does ethical innovation play in XGENIA's mission, and how is this principle incorporated into the development of your AI tools and solutions?
Adam Davis: Ethics and innovation go hand in hand at XGENIA. Our AIs are designed to prioritise player wellbeing alongside performance. For instance, we’ve developed features that can proactively identify patterns of compulsive behaviour, giving operators tools to respond responsibly. Where possible, we automate these safeguards, ensuring
they’re consistently applied without compromising the player experience. Ultimately, we believe that technology should benefit not just operators but players too, creating an ecosystem where innovation and responsibility thrive together.
Currently, your focus is on slots. Do you have plans to expand into other types of games in the future?
Adam Davis: Absolutely. While slots are our starting point, they’re just the beginning. We’re already exploring other formats where our AIs can bring the same efficiencies and creative possibilities. We’re also excited about entirely new, AI-driven game formats that blend traditional casino elements with mechanics inspired by broader gaming trends. Te goal is to keep innovating and expanding the horizons of what’s possible in iGaming.
What future advancements can we anticipate regarding the integration of AI in game development?
Adam Davis: Te possibilities are thrilling. One area we’re particularly excited about is real-time personalisation, where games adapt dynamically to player preferences as they’re being played. Another is AI-assisted narrative creation, where tools like our Cinematic Video Editor evolve to generate immersive storylines on the fly. We’re also looking at the role AI can play in simplifying
compliance, such as automatically ensuring games meet regulatory standards during development and are certified straight out of the gate. Te integration of AI into every step of the process, from ideation to launch, will continue to streamline workflows and elevate creativity.
More broadly speaking, how will AI change the gambling landscape going forward?
Adam Davis: AI is set to be a transformative force in gambling. For operators, it means more efficient operations, personalised player experiences, and the ability to innovate rapidly. For players, it promises richer, more engaging games that feel tailored to their preferences. But it’s not just about the games themselves. AI could
redefine how operators manage their businesses, from marketing to customer service, through predictive analytics and automated insights. As an AI-first company, the entire team at XGENIA has the mindset of leveraging AI to make all aspects of iGaming much more efficient. It’s an exciting time for the industry, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of this evolution.
AI DEALERS We are already seeing some other radical new concepts to game design. Founded in 2023, Japanese gaming company Baricata specialises in AI Casino Dealer technology. With features such as real-time interaction, expressive facial cues, and tailored conversational abilities, the AI Dealer can engage players 24/7 and adapt to individual playing styles.
