We’re really excited to bring the COSMIC UPRIGHT

cabinet to the market. It’s the latest in a long line of Light & Wonder cabinets that are super high quality, and which build on the success of the COSMIC SLANT cabinet that we released last year.

Light & Wonder A COSMIC start to 2025 Light & Wonder started the New Year by introducing a new cabinet for European

operators, the COSMIC UPRIGHT, with its enhanced player interaction, and sleek lighting features. At ICE Barcelona, G3 spoke to Wayne Ellard, Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Light & Wonder, about his expectations for the new cabinet and the latest games hitting in the EMEA market in 2025.

Wayne, tell us about the launch of the COSMIC UPRIGHT and the games we can expect to see?

We’re really excited to bring the COSMIC UPRIGHT cabinet to the market. It’s the latest in a long line of Light & Wonder cabinets that are super high quality, and which build on the success of the COSMIC SLANT cabinet that we released last year. We’re looking to start with four great titles; all built on existing games our customers love; Dancing Drums, Invaders, Ultimate Fire Link and Huff’n’ More Puff, with each family of games having extensions on this new cabinet.

When will it be rolled out?

We’re looking to roll it out in the second quarter this year and have started taking orders. We’re very much looking forward to seeing it on the floor of our casino customers in 2025.

Te HUFF N’ PUFF franchise continues to grow with three new games shown at ICE Barcelona; Even More Puff, Money Mansion and Highrise. Can you tell us a little about the fun the marketing team has had with this franchise, and what we can expect with the new additions to the series?

First of all, what a great brand. HUFF N’ PUFF has been successful all over the world in both land-based casinos and online. We are super excited to see our games development studios taking up the challenge to extend this game, to deliver more mechanics, different ways to play, while still retaining the essence of the original game. Te marketing team love HUFF

N’ PUFF because there’s so much fun baked into a game like this. It’s a great theme, everybody understands three little pigs, and we’ve lots of great ideas that we’ll release to the market over the next few months.

Dancing Drums has also beaten a blazing trail across casinos in Europe. Why has it been so successful and what can we expect for the title this year?

I think Dancing Drums is a really interesting games series. Customers love it everywhere as it’s a game that consistently performs in all markets. We have tried to keep the essence of the game the same, we take the great maths that keeps the players returning, and we add brand new mechanics. For instance, the latest version of Dancing Drums has a triple pot feature, something that’s very popular right now, so we’ve brought it to this franchise for the first time. We’ve also added the ability to win multiple progressive jackpots in the same game. In other words, we’ve taken all the great things customers love about Dancing Drums and added more and more for the players to enjoy.

Roaring into ICE is Lion Link Fortune with its Hold & Spin feature and an innovative secondary bonus round. What can players expect?

Lion Link is a fantastic game for us in Europe. It’s been top of the Eilers & Krejcik chart for a number of months and we’re really proud of it. Our players tell us they love the maths that keeps Lion Link interesting and they really like the features. It’s the perfect blend of a reliable game that’s got just the right level of player excitement. At ICE, we’re taking things further with Lion Link Fortune, which adds a secondary Hold & Spin
