Cammegh A Marvellous Spread
At the London Casino & Gaming Show and ICE Barcelona exhibitions, Cammegh, makers of the world's finest roulette wheels, displayed a wide spread of wheel-connected products for casino operators. G3 spoke to Andrew Cammegh about the company’s award-winning appearances.
Side bets shared the spotlight in both London and Barcelona, with Spread Bet Blackjack and its established stablemates, Spread Bet Roulette and the Progressive variant; Spread Bet Plus, all of which generating keen interest from visitors.
While Spread Bet Roulette is now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the side bet is enjoying a resurgence in popularity, in part due to the ease of implementation of the side bet, but also due to its ability to increase house edge without taking from the traditional 35 to 1 straight-up payout. Spread Bet Roulette adds an extra layer of excitement to the traditional roulette experience, providing players with more diverse betting options and the chance for substantial rewards.
Following in Spread Bet Roulette's impressive footsteps, Spread-Bet Blackjack introduces an engaging side bet to the traditional blackjack game, allowing players to wager on the sum of their initial two cards. In this variation, aces are valued as one, with players placing side bets predicting specific outcomes of the initial card totals. "Spread Bet Blackjack is a tool customers can use to add a fun side bet with increased house margin," explains Andrew Cammegh. "In essence, it potentially gives players a big reward for bad hands, enriching and refreshing player experience of the game."
Argon, Cammegh's asset management and wheel and baccarat analysis software application also played a key role at both exhibitions as Cammegh prepares for its first installation in 2025. Designed to enhance productivity analysis for roulette and baccarat assets within casinos, Argon enables users to gain secure access to performance reports and data. Dealers can sign in at their tables, pit bosses can oversee performance, gaming managers can generate productivity reports, and surveillance officers can review camera footage—all through

individualised dashboards. Reports such as wheel analysis, spin variance, rotor speeds, and game breakdowns can be exported for third-party analysis or printing.
Argon integrates with Cammegh's Billboard Display System, supporting both Cammegh and third-party roulette wheels, as well as all Billboard- compatible electronic card shoes. Te system also enables devices to be grouped into locations, simplifying the generation of reports and productivity analysis for specific areas of the casino. Users can be assigned to locations, ensuring they receive relevant device notifications.
Brand-new to both the London Casino & Gaming Show and ICE, Cammegh chose to unveil its new wheel configurator at both events. Still under development, the wheel configurator allows operators to select the individual components that comprise a Cammegh wheel, each element combining to create a design that visually displays each choice. If you've ever used a configurator to specify the options on your next vehicle purchase, you'll be familiar with the concept, and it works in exactly the same way. Select each element of the wheel and Cammegh will build to your specification. Gathering feedback from London and ICE, the configurator is due to launch in 2025.
Giving his verdict on the new London casino event, and the relocation of ICE to Barcelona, Andrew Cammegh stated: "I think without exception, all of the team at Cammegh and all those who attended our stand preferred ICE being located in Barcelona. We have never had a busier stand than on the Monday, which was at times breathless, but aside from visitor footfall and intensity, the new location added a bit of bounce into the whole show experience – it was a lot of fun. And I must also mentioned that Cammegh won the European Casino Awards’ best table gaming product for Mercury 360 RRS, which was the cherry on top.”
