Restrictions approved in Balearic Islands
Te Government of the Balearic Islands has approved a bill modifying laws that cover gambling and betting in the Balearic Islands.
Te reform will incorporate provisions aimed at limiting the granting of new authorisations for gambling halls in the territory, which has seen rapid growth.

SUZOHAPP will be also launching new designs from its portfolio including new Elo and VisionPro monitors, the BluMax PC platform, a Microhard card reader and free fall coin validator, Newland scanners and new printer and POS options from Custom.
MALTA – Vivaro Limited has been approved by the Malta Gaming Authority to start accepting player deposits using cryptocurrencies - or 'Virtual Financial Assets' as crypto is referred to under Maltese legislation.

Te Government of the Balearic Islands has approved a bill which will modify Law 8/2014, which covers gambling and betting in the Balearic Islands. Te objective of the bill is to reduce gambling related harm and provide greater player protection measures.
Te bill comes in response to a growth of gambling in recent years, especially the rise of betting establishments as well as the growth of online gaming, which has in turn led to calls from the public and the regional and state public administrations to curb the growth of the gaming and gambling industry.
Reform will incorporate provisions aimed at limiting the granting of new authorisations for gambling halls in the territory. According to lawmakers, the number of authorised gambling halls has experienced notable growth in recent years, and has experienced high concentration in certain areas. Currently there is a ratio of 108 land-based gambling establishments for every million inhabitants.

At the instigation of the ANJ, operators have made the fight against gambling addiction a priority. For those who gamble online, it remains difficult to accurately assess the share of gamblers affected by gambling addiction.

On the other hand, if their risky practice continues, we can suspend their account. However, this does not solve the problem, since the player remains free to play elsewhere.”
