Totalizator Sportowy, Poland's state-owned gambling operator, reported net profits exceeding PLN 387 million for the first three quarters of 2024, a nearly 25 per cent increase from 2023. Te success stems from expanding online gambling activities initiated in December 2018, alongside traditional lottery offerings. Despite these gains, challenges remain, particularly with a

POPULATION As of January 1, 2024, Poland's population stood at 36,620,970, down from 36,753,736 a year before. Poland's state statistical agency estimates that the population could drop to as low as 26.7 million by 2060—a 27 per cent decrease from today.

Te governmental structure is centred around the council of ministers largely reflecting its historical regions. At the provincial level, administrative authority is shared among a government-appointed governor, an elected regional assembly, and an executive elected by that assembly. Donald Tusk, the leader of the centrist Civic Coalition, was

elected Prime Minister by the Polish parliament on December 11, 2023, leading a government formed from three distinct political coalitions. Tusk previously served as Prime Minister from 2007 to 2014 and was President of the European Council from 2014 to 2019.
