SEAN LIU Director of Product Management TaDa Gaming
Whilst gamification is an expected addition to gaming, there still needs to be a proportionate balance to engage and entertain without overwhelming or confusing players.
At TaDa, we know that well-structured and progressive rewards systems which deliver a mix of instant and long-term results are key to retaining players. When we began designing our gamification suite, there were a number of takeaways from research and feedback which we factored into GiftCode and WIN CARD.
Overly complex systems can work against providers: they can deter players from accessing the offer to actually disengaging them from your brand, giving the perception that the tool is a barrier to play rather than an enhancement. We keep gamification elements straightforward and intuitive. Beginning with GiftCode, we extensively trialled it in both emerging and established markets.
GiftCode is a mechanism that delivers a simple to use, one click activation, instant reward. Applicable to slots as Free Spins and to our fishing-shooting games as Free Ammo, the tool is added as part of the initial integration, minimising any effort from the clients’ side. In Brazil, where we collaborated with leading streamers and influencers, our GiftCode launch saw 100 per cent take up, 13.9 per cent increase in new player sign up, 10 per cent increase in player engagement and 10 per cent uplift in bet volume. Within six months, these figures had trebled. Again, the recent inclusion of GiftCode within fishing- shooting games has also enjoyed 100 per cent take up.
Valid across multiple jurisdictions, GiftCode’s simplicity is the key to its overwhelming success. It is part of a system that enhances the precision of marketing campaigns, opens up opportunities for cross-industry collaborations and plays a crucial role in increasing player engagement in every game.
Having successfully launched with a simple mechanic, we introduced a more complex engagement tool, WIN CARD. We

also provided a clear communication campaign of how it works as an internal reward system when implemented across our games. WIN CARD is designed to create significant engagement and retention through time sensitive rewards for reaching certain levels. Furthermore, players can activate or store the bonuses, creating either immediate gratification or long-term repeat plays. Tis enables players to choose the right moment to activate their rewards without disrupting their gameplay experience.
In addition, WIN CARD enables players to directly access special features and experience the core excitement of the game in the fastest way possible. WIN CARD is a key driver of engagement through aligning rewards with meaningful progress. It really is a highlight tool within our gamification suite and is further enhanced through its superb localisation standards. When entering different markets it is essential to adapt to local player preferences by adjusting to regulatory compliance, currency support and language settings—this is a fundamental strategy for all game developers and TaDa is no exception.
For us it was important to recognise that every country has its own unique culture and player behaviours. To address this, our 2025 development strategy focuses on creating standardised but still market-specific adjustments, ensuring that our games cater to the distinct needs of each region.
EUROPE
TaDa takes a targeted approach in the European market by implementing art style adjustments to better align with local player preferences. From the initial design phase we define which themes to tailor for specific markets and conduct in- depth research on land-based casino trends to ensure our games resonate with local audiences.
In terms of gamification, we have also introduced customised account experiences for European players, allowing them to receive personalised missions that enhance engagement and provide a stronger sense of achievement.Te mission system within WIN CARD automatically adjusts in reaction to player's gameplay history and level, offering different missions and rewards that both fit with their progress and enhance their experience.
Plus, we have a recommendation system that uses big data to understand what each player likes and suggest other games they might enjoy.
